Established in 1995, Dare to Dream (DTD) is a nine-month, elementary-school-based program that boosts self-esteem in children by providing them access to positive role models. Co-sponsored by the Harris County Juvenile Probation Department, DTD uses interactive math and science curriculum, as well as career discussions with astronauts and other professionals, to get students thinking about their futures and exploring the exciting possibilities.
