African American Men in Technology is a very unique mens' organization amongst the many different male agencies world-wide, because of our mission, and our never ending commitment to creating and delivering our curriculum and program content.
AMIE-Advancing Minorities in Engineering
AMIE is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to expand corporate, government, and academic alliances to implement and support programs to attract, educate, graduate and place underrepresented minority students in engineering careers.
Artic Research Consortium of the United States (ARCUS)
ARCUS provides a mechanism for the Arctic community to complement the advisory roles of other national organizations, such as the US Arctic Research Commission (USARC), the Polar Research Board (PRB), and Interagency Arctic Research Policy Committee (IARPC), that are concerned with the Arctic.
American Society for Cell Biology Minority Affairs Committee
The Minorities Affairs Committee, one of the standing committees of the American Society for Cell Biology, has as its goal to significantly increase the involvement of underrepresented minority scientists in all aspects of the Society.
American Association of Blacks in Energy
The American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a national association of energy professionals founded and dedicated to ensure the input of African Americans and other minorities into the discussions and developments of energy policies regulations, R&D technologies, and environmental issues.
The American Chemical Society
The American Chemical Society is a congressionally chartered independent membership organization which represents professionals at all degree levels and in all fields of chemistry and sciences that involve chemistry.
The National Academies
The National Academies perform an unparalleled public service by bringing together committees of experts in all areas of scientific and technological endeavor. These experts serve pro bono to address critical national issues and give advice to the federal government and the public. Four organizations comprise the Academies: the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the Institute of Medicine and the National Research Council.
National Society of Black Engineers
NSBE's mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the community.
The National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering
Since 1974, NACME (the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering) has provided leadership and support for the national effort to increase the representation of successful African American, American Indian and Latino women and men in engineering and technology, math- and science-based careers.
National Society of Black Physicists
The purpose and mission of the National Society of Black Physicists is to promote the professional well-being of African American physicists within the international scientific community and within society at large. The organization seeks to develop and support efforts to increase opportunities for African Americans in physics and to increase their numbers and visibility of their scientific work. It also seeks to develop activities and programs that highlight and enhance the benefits of the scientific contributions that African American physicists provide for the international community. The society seeks to raise the general knowledge and appreciation of physics in the African American community.
The Benjamin Banneker Association, Inc.
The Benjamin Banneker Association is a national non-profit organization dedicated to mathematics education advocacy, establishing a presence for leadership, and professional development to support teachers in leveling the playing field for mathematics learning of the highest quality for African-American students.
The American Association for the Advancement of Science
The American Association for the Advancement of Science, ”Triple A-S” (AAAS), is an international non-profit organization dedicated to advancing science around the world by serving as an educator, leader, spokesperson and professional association. In addition to organizing membership activities, AAAS publishes the journal Science, as well as many scientific newsletters, books and reports, and spearheads programs that raise the bar of understanding for science worldwide.
NIH Black Scientist Association
We are an association of comprised of scientists, physicians, technologists, students and science administrators at the National Institutes of Health, whose main campus is located in Bethesda, MD. We have come together to get to know each other as people and as professionals, to promote our individual and collective professional advancement, and to advocate various health and scientific issues of importance to underrepresented minority communities in general and to the Black community in particular. Any person who is committed to our programs and goals is welcome to become a BSA member
US Black Engineering Magazine
US Black Engineer and Information Technology Magazine provides black technology news and information about black engineering, black technology, black entrepreneurs, black engineers, black education, black minorities, Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA), and historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) from black communities in US, UK, Caribbean, and Africa.

In many fields such as mathematics, computer science and the social sciences, NSF is the major source of federal backing.

Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation

NAMEPA- National Association of Minority Engineering Program Advocates
NAMEPA is a national network of educators and representatives from industry, government, and nonprofit organizations who share a common commitment to improving the recruitment and retention of African Americans, Hispanics, and American Indians earning degrees in engineering. As a recognized authority in minority engineering education, NAMEPA serves as an advocate for those students, promotes the professional development of members, and generally engages in a wide range of activities which respond to the needs of its membership.
